Safe-for-Space Threads in Standard ML
Threads can easily be implemented using first-class continuations, but the straightforward approaches for doing so lead to space leaks, especially in a language with exceptions like Standard ML. We show how these space leaks arise and give a new implementation for threads that is safe for space.
متن کاملThree New Heuristic Algorithms For The Fleet Size And Mix Green Vehicle Routing Problem
In recent years, great efforts have been made to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by vehicles. Petroleum products produces greenhouse gas emissions, therefore reducing the use of these products can make a major contribution to reducing pollution. The Fleet Size and Mix Vehicle Routing Problem is one of the most widely used routing branches. In this problem, there are vehicle with different capac...
متن کاملThe Scalar-Curvature Problem on the Standard Three- Dimensional Sphere
Let (S3, c) be the standard 3-sphere, i.e., the 3-sphere equipped with the standard metric. Let K be a C2 positive function on S3. The Kazdan-Warner problem [l] is the problem of finding suitable conditions on K such that K is the scalar curvature for a metric g on S3 conformally equivalent to c. The metric g then reads g=u4c and u is a positive function on S3 satisfying the partial differentia...
متن کاملSpace-time radial basis function collocation method for one-dimensional advection-diffusion problem
The parabolic partial differential equation arises in many application of technologies. In this paper, we propose an approximate method for solution of the heat and advection-diffusion equations using Laguerre-Gaussians radial basis functions (LG-RBFs). The results of numerical experiments are compared with the other radial basis functions and the results of other schemes to confirm the validit...
متن کاملA topology control algorithm for autonomous underwater robots in three-dimensional space using PSO
Recently, data collection from seabed by means of underwater wireless sensor networks (UWSN) has attracted considerable attention. Autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs) are increasingly used as UWSNs in underwater missions. Events and environmental parameters in underwater regions have a stochastic nature. The target area must be covered by sensors to observe and report events. A ‘topology cont...
